17 foot long crack in one of the rocket's bosters. This was an air force launch to deliver a GPS satellite.
on it was Jan. 17 1997
You are right. But really, how do you figure out there was a 17' crack AFTER an explosion like that? This thing MELTED CARS in the parking lot so you can only imagine what the boosters looked like...
Awesome few hundred million worth of fireworks though.
