This past weekend Josh and I joined a dozen or so other friends for a couple of nights at the 10th Mountain Division's Polar Star Inn. This deluxe hut is located at 11,000' on the North Ridge of New York Mountain and has some great terrain within a mile ski of the hut. We knocked off work early on Friday and started the 7 mile ski in around 5pm.
We built a bobsled course that started at the crest of the roof. The crux was this first turn off the roof.
The bag game is infinitely entertaining and is somewhat akin to the limbo. Contestants must pick up a paper bag in their mouth while balancing on one foot. Each round the bag gets an inch shorter. Here, Josh is attempting a winning bag grab. It is pertinent to add that while I introduced this game to the group, I was by far the worst contestant of the lot. I can scarcely pick up a full height bag.
